What is the difference between an ESI shut-off solenoid and an ESC solenoid?

The ESI solenoid operates with a single coil in DC mode for as long as it is activated. The ESC incorporates two coils: a high-power coil for initial movement and a low-power coil for holding the position, which reduces heat buildup and extends service life. The ESC is the recommended option when the solenoid remains activated for extended periods.

Shut-off solenoids for generator sets

The shut-off solenoid This is the solenoid that shuts down the diesel engine of the generator set. When the control unit commands a shutdown—whether due to an alarm, a manual command, or an automatic shutdown—it sends an electrical signal to the solenoid. This actuates the injection pump rack, cutting off the fuel supply and stopping the engine in a controlled manner. It is a component subject to wear and one of the most frequently replaced parts during corrective maintenance of generator sets.
