What voltage and current do you need?

The charger voltage must match the voltage of the generator set's electrical system: 12V for small- and medium-power units, 24V for higher-capacity industrial batteries. The charging current (A) depends on the battery capacity: for batteries up to 100 Ah, 3–5 A is sufficient; for batteries between 100 and 200 Ah, 10 A; for large batteries in industrial units, 20 A. A simple charger, a DC UPS, or a power supply?

• The battery charger (CB, MAS, SB series, etc.) keeps the starter battery charged. This is what the vast majority of installations need.
• DC UPS (Adelsystem CBI series) not only charges the battery but also acts as an uninterruptible power supply for the panel's electronic equipment (control unit, communication modules) in the event of a power outage. It includes MODbus or TCP/IP communication for monitoring.
• The power supply (Adelsystem FLEX/DFX series) converts AC power to DC power to supply electronic equipment in the panel. It does not charge the battery directly.
