Mecc Alte S20W-95 Alternator — 6 KVA, single-phase, 3,000 RPM

The S20W-95 This is the entry-level model in the Mecc Alte S20W single-phase series, operating at 3,000 RPM, with a rated power of 6 KVA at 50 Hz. The S20W series covers a range from 6 to 8.5 kVA across three models and represents the next step up from the S16W series within the single-phase 3,000 RPM lineup. Brushless with internal capacitor regulation; no moving electrical parts require maintenance.

Available coupling options

The S20W series offers four mounting configurations. Select your option when adding to cart:

B9/c23 — C23-style bevel shaft coupling.

B9/c30 — C30-style bevel shaft coupling, with a larger shaft diameter than the C23. Suitable for motors with a C30 coupling flange.

J609b — J609b bevel shaft coupling.

Free-hub kit (B3B14) — Allows for pulley-and-belt mounting for motors without a bevel gear, compatible with previous models.

FAQ

Does the S20W-95 require an external capacitor?
No. The 31.5 µF excitation capacitor is built into the alternator and comes pre-installed from the factory.

What type of coupling do I need?
The B9/c23, B9/c30, and J609b types are direct-mount bevel shaft couplings with different shaft and flange dimensions. The free-shaft kit is for belt-and-pulley drive. If you have any questions, please contact us with the exact motor model before placing your order.

Are there any requirements regarding the direction of rotation?
Yes. To achieve the specified performance, the alternator must rotate clockwise as viewed from the coupling side. Check that your engine is rotating in the correct direction before starting it.

How often should maintenance be performed?
Since it is brushless, there are no brushes, commutators, or moving contacts to check. Maintenance is limited to cleaning the exterior and periodically checking the connections and bearings, following the intervals specified in the manual.
