Pramac MC-01 Motor Protection Module: Active Alarms for Generator Sets

The MC-01 is Pramac's motor protection module, an electronic device that monitors critical motor parameters in real time and triggers the appropriate alarms in the event of a malfunction, before it leads to a more serious failure.

It is powered by 7–30 V DC (compatible with 12 V and 24 V batteries), with a maximum current draw of 60 mA, and includes reverse polarity protection on the connection. Its alarm outputs support up to 5 A at 30 V. It operates within a temperature range of -5°C to +50°C and a relative humidity range of 10% to 90%.

It detects anomalies via negative-logic alarm inputs (contact closed to ground): engine temperature, engine overspeed (with the option to validate at idle), fuel level, low oil pressure, and battery charging failure via the alternator’s D+ signal. It also manages the full-throttle start input in automatic mode. Each alarm is indicated by a separate indicator light on the front panel.
