The SOR480 is an analog, automatic voltage regulator (AVR) with 2-phase sensing and self-excitation function, which incorporates an Excitation Boost System (EBS) interface to improve motor starting performance and permanent short-circuit current.

The SOR480 is offered as a standard option on STAMFORD P0 and P1 alternators.®.
