Mecc Alte T16F-160/A Alternator — 7.5 KVA, three-phase, 3,000 RPM
The T16F-160/A It is the most powerful model in the Mecc Alte T16F three-phase series at 3,000 RPM, with a rated power of 7.5 KVA (6 KW at cos φ 0.8). Like the T16F-130, it uses compound control with brushes, unlike the single-phase S15W, S16W, S20W, and S20F series, which use capacitor-based brushless regulation.

FAQ
Do I need more power than the T16F-160?
This is the most powerful model available in the T16F series. If your application requires more than 7.5 KVA in three-phase power, please refer to the next series in the Mecc Alte family (T20FS and above).
Why doesn't the power in kVA match the power in kW?
In three-phase alternators, power is typically specified with a power factor of 0.8, not 1 as in single-phase capacitor-regulated models. That is why 7.5 KVA is equivalent to 6 KW in this model.
Does this alternator have brushes?
Yes. Unlike Mecc Alte's single-phase brushless series, the T16F uses compound regulation with brushes, which means that the brushes and brush holders must be inspected periodically as part of routine maintenance.
What type of coupling do I need?
It depends on how your motor is configured: bevel shaft (B9/c23, B9/c30, or J609b) or belt drive (B14 free shaft). If you have any questions, contact us at with the exact engine model before placing your order.
