Description

Mecc Alte ECP28-L/4C Alternator — 25 KVA, Three-Phase, 1,500 RPM

The ECP28-L/4C is the seventh model in Mecc Alte’s ECP28 three-phase series, operating at 1,500 RPM, featuring AVR electronic regulation and offering intermediate power within the series, between the ECP28-M/4C and the ECP28-VL/4C.

Self-regulation is achieved through an M2K digital electronic regulator, powered by an auxiliary winding (MAUX) that ensures a nearly constant supply under any operating conditions, with an accuracy of ±0.5%. The windings have a 2/3 winding pitch, designed to eliminate third-harmonics in the voltage waveform and prevent excessive neutral currents under certain parallel operating conditions.

Unlike the ECP3, the ECP28 does feature an aluminum damper cage on the rotor, which provides greater stability against load transients.

Available coupling options
B14 — Open shaft — for pulley-and-belt mounting on motors without an SAE-compatible disc coupling.
MD35 — SAE Disc — solid disc coupling, available in SAE bell size combinations 3, 4, 5, and 6, each in diameters of 6 1/2″, 7 1/2″, 8″, 10″, and 11 1/2″. The «None» option is also available if a disc is not needed.

What type of coupling do I need?
If your engine has an SAE flywheel and housing, the MD35 disc coupling is the direct option: you just need to confirm the housing size and the corresponding disc diameter. If your engine does not have a compatible SAE coupling, the B14 free-shaft kit allows you to mount the alternator using a pulley and belt. If you have any questions, contact us at.
