Description

Mecc Alte ECP3-3L/4C Alternator — 15 KVA, Three-Phase, 1,500 RPM

The ECP3-3L/4C It is the most powerful model in the entire series ECP3 by Mecc Alte at 1,500 RPM, with electronic AVR regulation. It shares the same frame as the 1L and 2L models and features the rotor with the largest diameter in the family.

Self-regulation is achieved through a DSR Digital Electronic Controller, powered by an auxiliary winding (MAUX) that ensures a nearly constant supply under any operating conditions, with an accuracy of ±1%. The windings have a 2/3 winding pitch, designed to eliminate third-harmonic components in the voltage waveform and prevent excessive neutral currents under certain parallel operating conditions.

Unlike the rest of the ECP lineup, the ECP3 is the only series that does not include a shock-absorbing cage (damper cage) on the rotor.

Do you need more than 15 KVA in three-phase power at 1,500 RPM?

The ECP3-3L/4C is the most powerful model in the ECP3 series. If your application requires more power, the next series in the ECP range is the ECP28, which continues the increase in power within Mecc Alte’s three-phase catalog at 1,500 RPM.

FAQ

What type of coupling do I need?
If your engine has an SAE flywheel and housing, the MD35 disc coupling is the direct option: you just need to confirm the housing size and the corresponding disc diameter. If your engine does not have a compatible SAE coupling, the B14 free-shaft kit allows you to mount the alternator using a pulley and belt. If you have any questions, contact us at with the exact engine model before placing your order.
