Electrical panels for switching and protection of generator sets — Socomec and ABB

In this section, you will find electrical components for automatic switching between the utility grid and a generator set, as well as for protecting the installation: complete ATS panels, motorized switches, power jumpers, and circuit breakers from the following brands: Socomec y ABB. Complete ATS Panels — Socomec

The ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) panels These are automatic transfer switches that manage the transfer of load between the utility power grid and the generator set. In the event of a grid failure, the ATS panel detects the loss of voltage, sends a start signal to the generator set, transfers the load to the generator once it is ready, and automatically transfers the load back to the grid when power is restored. The entire process occurs without manual intervention. Four-pole (4-pole) configuration for three-phase installations with a neutral.

ATyS Motorized Switches — Socomec

ATyS switches are the motorized switching components for those who prefer to assemble or expand their own ATS panel rather than purchase the complete unit. Available in two series based on current rating:

ATyS dM Series (40 to 160 A):

A complete set or individual components?

If you need a ready-to-install ATS panel, the complete Socomec models (4x40A to 4x160A) are the quickest solution. If you already have an enclosure and want to assemble or repair your own panel, the ATyS motorized switches and their corresponding power bridges allow you to build a custom solution, including higher current ranges (up to 630A) not available in the complete panels. Do I also need a controller for the ATS panel?

These switching devices require an external control signal to manage the generator set’s start-up and shutdown. If your generator set already has a control panel with an AMF function (DSE, ComAp, SVE…), the ATS panel works with the signal from that control panel.
